Solid and reliableApr 08, 2010
By Jack Lloyd I bought a slightly earlier revision of this saw (396-HP) from Amazon in July 2008. Since then I've used it to saw through plenty of small branches and brush, a job for which it is wonderfully suited, and even the 8" trunk of a fallen poplar without much trouble (this saw isn't meant for anything that large, and I would have had a much easier time with a chainsaw - but it worked). No give on the saw blade, smooth folding action, and it still seems sharp as the day I bought it. It folds down to a compact package and the lock on the blade seems very sturdy. Great for yardwork or backpacking/camping.
